By combining Rebel’s scaling, support, and warranty with Carteroni’s deep 037 knowledge and experience, we’re all set to bring the Rebel 037 Line to 037 fans world-wide.
How Rebel x Carteroni works
Rebel as project commissioner and business leader:
We commission the Carteroni-led development of our 037 Line, oversee vehicle compliance and warranty, lead the commercial 037 effort, and manage delivery and customer support.
Carteroni as R&D team and engineering leader:
Carteroni develops, engineers, and tests the automotive technology required for the Rebel 037 Continuation 2WD and Rolling Chassis products, and conducts R&D for the Lancia 037 AWD project.
Why we formed the partnership
There comes a time in life when you need to act on feeling. For us, that feeling manifested as a desire to experience life more vividly - a feeling which we believe the Lancia 037 embodies. It’s our theory there are others who feel this way, and we want to give them the same opportunity to feel real experiences, behind the wheel of rallying’s last championship winning RWD car.
There was only one problem: how do you build a Lancia 037 from scratch? The answer to this question remained a mystery until the day Rebel founder, Ryan, came across Carteroni. 037 builders since 2013, with a Lancia heritage stretching back to the 90s, and based in the central North Island of New Zealand, Carteroni was the natural perfect choice to make our 037 project happen.
When we reached out to Carteroni, it turned out they too were looking for a new opportunity. Team Carteroni, aka Allan, Alex, and Connie, were after a new client for an 037 build project; yet were unsure how to reshape and scale up their 037 business for a more global appeal.
After a series of excited 037 filled phone calls, kitchen-table business discussions, and trips up and down the North Island, the idea for the Rebel Autoworx x Carteroni Partnership was formed.

Who is the service and warranty provider?
Rebel Autoworx provides all customer service, manages the certification process, and provides warranties.
